2010 Banquet

Hello everyone! I hope that all of you are at home staying warm and safe from the snow and ice. I am sending everyone this newsletter to let everyone know that the annual banquet that was scheduled for January 30th has been cancled. It has been rescheduled for February 27th. This is also our meeting that was schedule to vote on the one rule and amendment proposal. That proposal was: Concernging memberships; We will add in the by laws that, any child under the age of 18 will be allowed under the Family membership of grandparents or leagal garduanship. This would allow grandparents to get thier grandchildren or anyone fostering to get thier children involved in the showing of their hose. We will be voting on this before the banquet. Please coroperate with us so we can do this very quickly. Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the Banquet. It will begin at 4pm at Eagleview Catering on Fairview rd. in Searcy, AR The same place we had it last year.

Directions to Eagleview Catering:

From the Interstate: take the Bebee Capps extit, got to the intersection of South Main and Bebee Capps, Make a Right, got to intersection of S. Main and E. Race, Take a ledft. Stay on this street all the way until it turns into Hwy 16. Stay on the road, get in the far lane this lane will take you to Fairview rd. Make a right on to fairview keep going until you top a big hill and there you are at Eagle view Caterering. It is on the Right side of the Road. There will be two big eagles on each side of the drive.

Happy 2010 to everyone. We are gearing up to have a great year. On December 5, 2009 we had our election meeting and the results are as follows: President James Poole, Vice President Ben Rogers, Secretary JoAnn Rogers, Treasury Melissa Poole, Reporter Lisa McBride, Asst. Reporter Pam Mahan, Board of Directors: Racking Horse Pam Mahan, Foxtrotter Lisa McBride, Gaited Pleasure JoAnn Rogers, TN. Walking Kenny McGowan, Spotted Saddle Horse Lance Lincoln, Advisory Committee: Dorathy Poole, Melissa Poole, Becky Munn, Karen Sutter, Johnny McBride, Judges Committee: Ben Rogers, Melissa Poole, Lisa McBride, Dwight Mahan, Youth Committee: Lisa McBride, Trail Chairperson: Brenda Crossett.

AGHSA will be having our awards banquet January 30^th, 2010 at Eagleview Catering on Fairview Rd in Searcy. We will start at 4pm with bingo and will also have a silent auction if you have items for the auction please bring them new or used. We will begin eating at 5pm. Charge for this event will be $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children 10 and under. Please send your money to Becky Munn P.O. Box 293, Bradford, AR 72020. We need this in by January 16^th, 2010, so we can get a head count.

The Youth Committee is working on scheduling some clinics for 2010. There will be youth packets available very soon. If anyone would like to volunteer their time to help with the youth program or to sign up for the program, give Lisa McBride a call at 870-834-1715 or email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it There will be a Youth Party in February details will be available soon on the where, and when. This will be a get together for us to get to know all the youth and to also get ideas for the 2010 activities. This program is a great way to get points, and be awarded for your efforts for having fun and learning with your horse. More information about the Youth Program will be in the February issue of the Round Up.

By now all trail program mileage logs should be in for the 2009 year. Brenda Crossett is our Trail Program Chairperson for more information on this program give her a call at 501-278-0387.

The Next meeting will be held January 9, 2010 at 4pm at the Farm Bureau Building in Searcy. . Our awards banquet will be held January 30, 2010 at Eagle View they will be serving some wonderful food. There will also be a silent auction and games. We would like for all our members to come out bring some guests have a good time and meet your 2010 Board of Directors. Membership dues are $15.00 for single and $25.00 for family. Get your dues in and if you have a youth that would like to participate in the Youth Program please let us know.
